Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Delete my account in the app, enter the requested confirmation and follow the steps. Deletion is permanent. Your private answers and personal profile are removed, but shared history may remain for your partner. See the Privacy Policy for details. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Reconciled and choose the cancellation option. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Apple manages iOS billing and refund requests. Existing website subscriptions are managed through the web app, not Apple Settings.
How do I restore a purchase?
Sign in to your Reconciled account in the iOS app and open Settings → Premium access → Restore purchases. Use the Apple Account associated with the purchase. Purchases and restores require a native iOS build; they do not work in Expo Go or the browser.
What happens if we unlink?
Each person keeps their account and personal profile. Your old shared space is archived and its discussions and couple report become unavailable to both of you. The subscription stays with its owner; the former partner loses shared premium access. Unlinking does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Can Reconciled help in a crisis?
Reconciled is not counselling, therapy or crisis support, and is not monitored for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger in the UK, call 999. If abuse or coercive control is involved, do not rely on a shared exercise for help or safety. The independent UK safety and support contacts can connect you with specialist services.
Safety and support
Your safety comes first.
Reconciled is a communication tool, not therapy, counselling, emergency support or a safety assessment. It cannot assess what is happening or contact emergency services for you.
If you are experiencing domestic abuse, coercive control, threats, or fear of your partner, you do not have to use Reconciled together or involve your partner to seek help. Prioritise your safety and contact an independent specialist service.
If you are in immediate danger in the UK, call 999.

Think someone may be monitoring your device? If you can, use a device they cannot access. Visiting or leaving a website does not erase browser or network history. Refuge Tech Safety has further information.
These independent services handle their own calls and support; Reconciled does not operate, monitor or endorse their services. Contact details and opening times can change. Checked against the organisations’ official websites on 6 October 2026.
