Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Your relationship information is personal. This policy explains what Reconciled does with it, in plain English.
Who we are
Reconciled is operated by HH EDTECH LTD, the data controller responsible for your personal information. Contact us at support@reconciled.today.
Details to complete before launch: the operator must confirm the special-category data condition, international-transfer safeguards and backup retention described below. This draft does not, by itself, establish legal compliance.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and protected sign-in information.
- Intake questionnaire answers: information you choose to give about yourself and your relationship.
- Profiles: your personal profile and the couple profile generated from the two partners’ information.
- Shared relationship content: friction points, discussions, reports, agreed resolutions and related progress.
- Subscription status: whether you have premium access, subscription identifiers and relevant expiry or renewal information.
- Support and technical information: information you send when contacting support, and technical information processed by our hosting services, such as request times, IP addresses and error logs, to operate and secure the service.
Payments for iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your Apple payment card details. RevenueCat tells us your subscription status so we can provide access. Existing website subscriptions are processed through Stripe’s hosted payment services, not by entering full card numbers or security codes into Reconciled.
Why we use your information
We use your information to create and secure your account, build profiles, connect linked partners, help you work through friction points, generate reports and resolutions, provide support and recognise subscription access.
Our principal lawful basis under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR is contract: processing is necessary to provide the service you request. Where necessary, we may also process limited information to comply with a legal obligation, or on the basis of our legitimate interests in security and preventing misuse, taking your rights into account.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising. These public pages use no advertising trackers. Essential sign-in cookies or storage may be used when you open the web app.
Questionnaire answers or relationship content may reveal sensitive information, such as health information. Such information requires an additional legal condition under Article 9 of the UK GDPR, not just contract. [Before launch, confirm the applicable special-category condition and implement any required consent process.] Do not include another person’s sensitive information without their permission.
Sharing with your linked partner
Sharing relationship content with the partner you link to is a core feature of Reconciled. Your couple profile, friction points, shared discussions, shared reports and agreed resolutions are made available to your linked partner as part of that feature.
Your private questionnaire answers and private personal guidance are not a raw shared questionnaire. However, information you provide can inform the couple profile and other intentionally shared outputs, so those outputs may convey aspects of your answers. Independent answers are only revealed where the feature’s sharing rules allow it. Please consider this before submitting personal information.
Only link to someone you intend to share this information with. We cannot remove information your partner has already read, copied or saved outside Reconciled.
Service providers
We use the following providers to deliver Reconciled. They receive only the information needed for their role, subject to the applicable arrangements and their own legal responsibilities:
- Replit: application hosting, databases and infrastructure, including the AI integration used by the service.
- RevenueCat: subscription verification and management of subscription status, using your app account identifier.
- Apple: iOS payments, renewals, refunds and subscription management. Apple handles payment data under its own privacy terms.
- Anthropic, through Replit’s AI integration: processing relevant questionnaire, profile and relationship content to generate guidance and reports. AI output can contain errors.
- Resend: delivery of account and service emails.
- Stripe: payment services for existing website subscriptions.
Payment providers may act as independent controllers for parts of their services, rather than solely as our processors. We may also disclose information when required by law or where necessary to protect someone’s safety or legal rights.
Security and international transfers
We use protected sign-in, access controls and encrypted connections to help protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, an appropriate UK GDPR safeguard is required, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. [Before launch, confirm the actual processing locations, agreements and applicable transfer safeguards with each provider.] Contact us for information about the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep information
We keep account and relationship information while it is needed to provide your account and shared space. Retention depends on whether an account remains active, whether a partner still has access to shared history, and whether information is needed to resolve support requests or meet legal obligations. We do not retain information indefinitely simply because it might be useful.
Deleting your account removes your account record, private answers and personal profile from the active service. Shared records may remain for your partner as explained below. Providers may retain payment or subscription records under their own legal requirements and retention policies. Residual technical logs and backups may remain for a limited period before rotation or expiry; [confirm and publish the relevant backup and log retention periods before launch].
Deleting an account or unlinking
To delete your account, open Settings → Delete my account in the app and follow the confirmation steps. This is permanent. You can also contact support about a data-rights request.
If one partner deletes their account: their account, private answers and personal profile are removed and their connection to the partner ends. Shared couple history, friction points, reports and resolutions may remain available to the other partner. Deletion is not a promise to erase every shared record or a copy held by the other person. Contact us if you believe a retained shared record should be reviewed or erased; we will consider your rights alongside the other person’s rights and applicable obligations.
If partners unlink: both keep their own accounts and personal profiles. The former shared space is archived: its discussions and couple report are no longer available to either partner through the app. Archiving does not mean immediate erasure from the database. Any premium subscription stays with the account that owns it, and the former partner no longer shares that access.
Deleting or unlinking does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel separately in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Your UK GDPR rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access a copy of your information, correct inaccurate information, erase information, restrict processing, receive portable information or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. These rights are not absolute; for example, the right to object does not apply in the same way to processing necessary for a contract.
Contact support@reconciled.today to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to the UK GDPR’s rules for complex requests.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), including through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need to contact us first to exercise that right.
Adults only and policy changes
Reconciled is intended for people aged 18 or over. It is not intended for under-18s. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy when the service or its obligations change. Material changes will be communicated where required. The last updated date appears at the top of this page.
